We use a configuration profile with a Login Window payload to add a message that uses a variable to display where the device belongs.
For example, we want it to display something like "If found, please return to the Tech Department", using the variable $DEPARTMENT.
On iOS devices it works fine, but in macOS I cannot seem to get it to work properly. Instead it will just display "If found, please return to $DEPARTMENT".
Using Jamf Pro 10.11.1 and macOS 10.14.4. Thanks in advance for any advice.
