Virtualizing Mac

We've got a VMWare virtual environment for lots of our windows users. I want to say I read that Apple is going to allow Lion to be installed and run virtually. Does anyone have any information regarding VMWare or Parallel's plans to integrate options for this? Or apples licensing with doing this? Really any relevant information.

We've got a lot of people that want to test with Mac's and this would make that easier.

Thanks all,

I've got Lion currently installed on a VM. I heard you are allowed 1 VM session per user (Apple Hardware.)

So as far as you know its only virtualized on Mac Hardware? I can find of lot of unofficial notes online but nothing solid or straight from Apple.

Noah,

I read it in the Lion license agreement; you can run two virtualized Lion instances on a real Lion installation on Apple hardware.

Any idea where i can get a copy of that to show some people here so they'll stop bugging me? :)

Noah,

Visit the App Store. Click the Lion item to get to its page. On the right side, there are three links; Apple Web Site, OS X Lion Support, and App License Agreement. Click App License Agreement.

Section 2, Subsection B, Sub-Subsection iii is where I read it.

Are there any directions on how to do this posted? Most links are for hackentoshes or upgrades from a SL vm.

Actually, I found some instructions for Lion. Here they are in case anyone else is looking to create an OSX VM within a Mac.

GinoVicente,

There's an easier way to set up a new Lion VM with VMWare Fusion 5:
