Anyone find a way to disable a VPN app or connection on an iPad using iOS 7? I'm able to remove the VPN app & delete the connection, but I'm looking more for prevention than band-aid at this point. Any direction, good or bad, is appreciated!

For people that have already added a VPN client to their iPads, you could create a smart group and pretty much lock down and disable everything on their device until they delete the VPN app(s).

Is there anyway to do the lockdown automatically, or do you have to have the smart group notify you and then manually take care of it?

As long as you have a profile set up in place for that smart group, it will automatically enable once the device gets put in the group. It will happen whenever the device talks back with the jss for orders.

If they are just going to Settings > General > VPN and making a connection that way without an app how can you search for that in the JSS? I don't see any way to search to see if VPN is enabled.
