Could this also happen with Adobe Reader DC or Adobe Flash Player. We got a couple of machines last week which booted into recovery mode because the /Applications or /System folder was completely deleted. We are using Adobe Reader DC and Adobe Flash Player update scripts. Does anybody had the same behaviour?

@donmontalvo He knows. A few of us reached out to him on the #adobe-installs channel on the [macadmins.org](macadmins.org) Slack yesterday.

The update has been pulled & a fixed version expected in the coming days.

@anverhousseini It's only via CCDA & only when installing I think via that.

Also, it's affecting hidden folders at the root of the HD. Not others.

@bentoms We still don't know what could cause such a big issue. The timing would be perfect ;)

Creative Cloud Desktop 3.5.1.209 addresses file deletion bug.

I went digging for an outgoing tweet/formal message, but Twitter replies from @AdobeCare was the best I could find at the moment.
