when adding AD credentials when setting up new iPad. Receive message: invalid profile:

When setting up a new iPad after entering wifi information. I enter my AD credentials and next screen is the following message: The configuration for your ipad could not be downloaded from Amy's Kitchen Inc; invalid profile

We had the same issue and had to create a local generic account to use for manual enrollment.

This usually happens when you are using a Self Signed SSL Certificate. have a look at the KB Ariticle
