Hey All,

I have gotten curious and enroll one of my Windows 7 Machines into my JSS. Its seems like this could be useful for inventory or something along those lines. My main question: Can we perform any management or push anything to the Windows side? What have you discovered with enrolling your Windows devices?

Windows is for inventory only.

Do you happen to know if the windows machines count against my license count?

I don't believe they do, because they aren't managed, but I would check with your JAMF TAM on that to be sure. That detail has always been a little fuzzy to me, but I think back when JAMF used to sell an inventory only product (Recon Suite), Windows devices counted toward a license, but that may not be true anymore.

@Lucasw Windows machines do not count against your available licenses because the clients are not considered managed.
