Hello!

I was wondering if you issue a wipe command on a drive that is FV2 encrypted, does the process handle removing the encryption for the user to reinstall the OS?

We're dealing with a few people leaving the company but retaining their computers.

Thank you!

As long as you don't have a firmware password installed, the user can always format a drive regardless of it being formatted or not for a fresh installation.

Right, the user who has the machine, and we're giving it to is not very tech literate.

Am I understanding you right that when they launch into recovery, they will need to launch disk utility and format the drive for the install, which is an extra step to simply installing the OS.

Thank you!
