Hi everyone, weird question here. I have a policy that runs the command
"/Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/startosinstall" --nointeraction &
scoped to some users on self service so that they can press a button and upgrade from Sierra to High Sierra. I had one user do it, and they ended up on 10.14 Mojave somehow. Another use did it and ended on 10.13 High Sierra where they were supposed to.
Anyone have any idea what could have happened?

What was the size of the installer that you used? If you didn’t download the full 6GB assets (which don’t download by default for High Sierra and Mojave), then you probably downloaded a stub that just downloads the newest macOS on demand and installs it.

As far as I can tell the installer I used is 5.23 GB.
