Hi gang,

Anyone else having issues building out a new Yosemite image without Keynote,Pages, etc...? I've done several Yosemite installs with the hopes of creating a clean iWorks free image, however that App Store update notification will come up and say there's an update for Pages...which hasn't been installed.

Use AutoDMG and the newest Yosemite installer from the App Store and you will end up with a base image free of the extra apps (cruft IMHO) included on a Mac fresh from Apple.

Thank you! I'm trying it out right now.

Well, unfortunately same thing. The program worked great, but the same update notification came on informing me that there's an update for Pages available.

Hrm that is very odd. I haven't seen that in my deployment workflow at all...

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. And I nuked the drive before I ran the install. I've gone through the process 4 or 4 times, each with the same result. But...AutoDMG is great! Thanks for that little tip!

You need to use a config profile or similar method to set a preference on the Mac App Store to prevent the request for iApp adoption.

Here is a config profile that should do the trick for you
