For anyone interested in updating to Yosemite, SmartNotebook 11.4 is no longer supported according to Smart Technologies. Smart officially is stating "one must upgrade to version 14.2 AND have an Advantage membership moving forward". This was not acceptable for me/us so i found this fellas workaround to restore SmartNotebook 11.4 for use in Yosemite:

Workaround I have currently seen is copying the ruby files from a Mavericks machine. I build a patch in composer that seems to work. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/66264481/SMART%20Board%2011.4%20Yosemite%20PATCH.pkg

We are in the same boat where I work. I would also be interested in a workaround if anybody finds one.

FYI this workaround only allows you to open the Smartboard software. You won't be able to consistently open existing Smartboard files. Also, the Smartboard taskbar disappears.
