We’ve been listening to those of you that are leveraging the Jamf Protect API today and have some exciting changes coming soon.
Since API changes take some time to accommodate, we wrote up a blog post that details these changes ahead of time. At a high level, we are changing the way you grab “Logs” from the Protect API, making it easier to prioritize your Alerts in a SIEM by severity level.
The existing APIs will continue to work for some time, but those that utilize the Alerts and Logging APIs will start seeing some duplicate data until they switch over to the newer API format. We expect the new APIs to be in force early in October.
Of course, there will be more things you’d like to see change in our APIs. Please continue to provide us with that feedback so we can consider it in future updates.
