Hi,

I have upgraded a machine to Big Sur, and now get a question mark against system apps in the managed Dock. Currently, these are added like this /Applications/Calculator.app for example. I'm guessing this is to do with these apps now sitting in System/Applications - however, updating the path does not solve the issue.

Has anyone else come across this?

I have come across this when setting up devices with a dock configuration payload with third-party apps. The path will be correct and the app will function once it is installed, but there will be a question mark. I believe the dock item is created before the app was "ready". We didn't keep the configuration, but I believe restarting the device made it pick up the icon.

Thanks, @Fluffy, however, these are system apps, e.g. calculator and Launchpad. It seems to be something that has changed in Big Sur, as it wasn't an issue in the previous OS.
