I work in a school district and was wondering if anyone had used scripts to shut down apps after a certain time.  We are looking for a way to stop students from accessing safari and google chrome after school hours.  Any help would be appreciated.  I'm new to scripting and haven't had much practice with it.

You can configure the Macs to shutdown and start up at specific times. The literal workflow you are after is in downtime with parental controls which MDM cannot leverage. You could create an extension attribute to read the Macs time, and a smart group if the time equals such a value and target a software restriction at that. Its a bit of a long way to do it, but it would work.
