I'm just trying out configuration profiles (our network posture made it difficult to use them until now) and I'm finding that when I try to scope, I see 'No Computers are Available'.

I'm sure I'm missing something (as is usually the case!) Can anyone point me in the right direction - docs, or otherwise, that would help me understand where I've taken a wrong turn?

Basically, certificate based communication needs to be enabled, and the Macs have to be enrolled in your JSS, similar to MDM, not exactly the same as just recon'ed.

Also, FYI, it seems there are still some issues with 10.7 Configuration Profiles not applying correctly when using Smart groups that, according to a thread here, may be addressed in a coming release of Casper. So, you may want to consider holding off on using them until then.
