Box Drive 2.8.186 and El Capitan 10.11.6

Does anyone knwo if Box drive version 2.8.186 is compatible with el captain 10.11.6? I am working with some users of a new acquired company and they use box. Unfortunately it does not seem to be working on El Capitan 10.11.6, but did on other versions. When it gets to the SSO login page it will not progress past a white screen. I tried a few things and have been googling it but I have not found any concrete answers.

Any help here would be appreciated.

Box states that it works on the two latest Operating Systems, in this case, 10.13 and 10.14.

I'd look into getting those devices upgraded regardless as 10.11 is no longer supported by Apple with updates and you're opening yourself up to a lot of issues in the future if you stay on this path.
