Managing macOS Updates

Hi
Having trouble trying to figure out the best workflow for keeping Mojave Macs updated. Currently there's a policy which installs updates using the software updates payload from our NetSUS server. However this can result in users complaining when restarting their Macs and they have to wait for the updates to install. Plus with laptops with the T2 chip this can cause boot problems if the user doesn't shutdown.

How are others managing the updates? Ideally would like to set 'Automatically keep my Mac up to date, check for updates, install macOS updates etc.' from the Software Update settings in System Preferences, by a config profile however that option doesn't fully work on Mojave.

Any advice would be appreciated! :)

Thanks!
Simon

@jranchuk does that script work with non-admin users?
