You could put a webclip profile on the iPad and tell it to be "Full Screen". This is assuming you are looking for some sort of a kiosk mode. You wouldn't even need an MDM to truly do that, you could apply it with Apple Configurator or send it through email to the device.

Can you lock down this web clip though. Yes. We're trying to create a kiosk with it but need to lock down the browser so it stays in that app

We need the same. Can't find a way to deploy a link on the device where the students can open the link but not have access to the URL to share.
