Casper Remote Hanging

Has anyone else had a problem with Casper Remote 7.1 hanging while
performing a task? Lately, and I honestly cannot say when it started,
Remote has been hanging when I try to install some software or try to cache
software. I notice it most when I am pushing a large package or packages,
like Adobe CS3/CS4 installers. The installers will arrive in the Waiting
Room folder, but Remote on my machine, or other machines I run it on, hangs
and I have to force quit to get it to stop.

Anyone else seen this?

We get the same issue and it only happens when working with the large CS4 DMG (5GB)
By tailing the log on the taget mac we can see that although remote gets hung the job still runs.
It's just not consistent sometimes it wakes up... sometimes we just have to force quit.

I too have noticed this, and yes... The action usually does complete on it's
own. I thought that it was due to selecting the install option, I haven't
seen it happen when caching the packages yet.

I had the same issue but it was a result of my running remote installs through HTTP(s) rather than AFP. Once I correct the errors that were preventing me from deploying through AFP, my Remote session has not hung once and I've sent tens of GBs at a time out. Just to expand a little further, my issue was that my Casper related account passwords did not match up across the board.

Hope that helps,
