Has anyone else had the new notifications feature working via JSS deployment?

I have been attempting to combine the profile, with the use of the Self-Service Mobile App, so that it forces users to have to receive push notifications for the app.

Or has the self-service app had the push notification feature removed? I haven't used it in a while, I moved to forced installation of VPP to the device apps.

I'm pretty sure it worked when I did a proof of concept on it awhile back. I'll have to test it again as I want to do the same exact thing. I don't think push notifications have been removed.
