There are a number of new features and enhancements in version 7.2:

JSS Assistants:
Creating a Policy now gives you the option to walk through an assistant in the JSS. In addition to this assistant, there is also an LDAP Server assistant and a new assistant if you perform a clean install of the JSS.

Extension Attributes:
The JSS now allows you to add an unlimited number of items that you track for a computer record. You can create these as popup menus or text fields, or have them automatically populated by scripts. When building this feature, we focused on unification and extension of other Mac OS X products in the enterprise. We have included over 100 templates for Extension Attributes that allow you to gather custom information, including for the following third party products:

- CrashPlan - Atempo LiveBackup - Time Machine - ClamXav - Sophos - VirusBarrier - Virex - Forefront - VMWare - Deep Freeze - CheckPoint - PGP - WinMagic SecureDoc

Improvements to Managed Preferences:
In addition to support for uploading .manifest files and .plist files for creating new Managed Preferences, we have also tied in with the Manifest Destiny project started by our friends at AFP548 which is hosted at Google Code.
