Hey all,

Air Squirrels http://www.airsquirrels.com makers of Reflector http://www.airsquirrels.com/reflector just released version 1.6.3. With this release, they have modified how the Device ID is generated so that you can use Reflector now with iOS Configuration Profiles with iOS.

First you will need to configure or double check your Reflector version and Settings.

Next you will need the MAC address of your computer. I have not tested this yet with a Mac with multiple NICs so you might need to test before full deployment.

Finally, create a configuration profile with all the data we have about the AirPlay Name, Password, and MAC address into a configuration profile.

I'm pretty excited about this and hope that this helps some other folks out!

I tried this on a windows machine running reflector but couldn't get it to work. Is it Mac only or is there a different workflow for the PC version?

That's a good question. I only have Reflector for Mac and have not tested with Windows. I would recommend reaching out to Air Squirrels to see if there is an alternate workflow. Below is a link to their support page:
