I'm trying to push my Office 2008 setups out to clients and have had little luck getting this done.

I've copied all the .mpkg files from the ISO/DMGs to Casper but and installed from there. Installing SP1 (12.1.0) appears to succeed according to the logs but when trying 12.1.3 it complains a prior version hasn't been installed yet. Running Auto-Update manually also tries to reinstall 12.1.0. Where am I going wrong here?

I've had poor luck searching the mailing list archives so I was also wondering how people are building new Office 2008 installs from first release out to 12.1.7.

Thanks in advance!

You only need to install the 12.1.0 (SP1) and then the 12.1.7 On Jun 5, 2009, at 2:03 PM, Cory Ranschau wrote:
update... don't need the interim ones.

When I was getting ready to deploy 12.1.7, I found that my 12.1.0 build did not include the receipts that 12.1.7 looks for. It took me a good hour to figure out what the problem was because I had assumed that by using the diff provided by Jamf to create the 12.1.0 full installation that everything would be there. It turns out that the diff that comes with Composer does NOT include the receipts. So, I had to separately deploy the 12.1.0 receipts in order to use the 12.1.7 mpkg installer.
