Over the weekend, I upgraded to Casper 9.

I just looked at one of my test iPads, and I see a my self service webclip which has a custom icon is just a blank icon.

Usually that means the device is not talking to the MDM, which I am guessing may be some issue with the certificates being different between Casper 8 and Casper 9?

When I look at the Inventory tab for my test iPad it shows three Profiles — the main profile being "Staff".
When I look at the Management for my test iPad, it doesn't show any failed or pending commands.
When I look at the History for my test iPad I don't see anything unusual.

But my Self Service icon is blank (no custom icon), and when I launch Self Service, it is just a blank white screen.

Are your other enrolled iPads experiencing the same issue? Do you get any errors when you uninstall / reinstall the enrollment profile?

Hi OP

Try re-enrolling your test iPad. I have been having no issues accessing Self Service on iOS since we upgraded to v9. Apart from in-house apps not working.
Also just double check that Self Service is enabled for MDM in the JSS settings.
