Today, Jamf Training turns 20, and the milestone is worth pausing on.

More than 40,000 people trained through instructor-led courses. Over 120,000 reached through the Online Training Catalog. 60,000+ certifications issued to IT professionals who've built careers on what they learned here.

When we started this journey, the term "Mac Admin" didn't exist. There were no careers in Apple endpoint management. The path you're on today? It wasn't there yet. You, and people like you, built it.

Now Jamf certifications are the industry standard for Apple device management and security. The admins who get trained deploy faster, run leaner operations and support their users better.
But here's the thing: none of those numbers belong to us.

They belong to you.

To every admin who took a course before they felt ready. To everyone who earned a certification and finally had the credential to back up what they already knew. To the ones who stayed up late, asked questions on Jamf Nation, and showed up to JNUC ready to learn something new. To the career changers, the first-timers, the experts who keep pushing further.

You are what 20 years of Jamf Training actually looks like.

We'd love to hear from you: what was your first Jamf course, favorite training memory, and what did it change for you? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.

My first Jamf Training course was a Certified Mobile Administrator (CMA) course taught by @mike_paul in the Minneapolis office in November of 2012. I was working at a K-12 school in Minneapolis and needed some way to “get back my nights and weekends.” Thanks to Jamf and the Casper Suite version 8 (oh the green) I was able to achieve that goal! I really enjoyed the engaging discussions, hands-on learning, and the practical exam.

Oh and the grid paper and signed certificate were awesome swag back then too.

Then joined the Jamf team in 2013 and the rest has been an absolute joy and honor. Looking forward to many more years of Jamf Training!

My first course was the CCT at the old HQ in Minneapolis in August 2015.

My favorite training memory was obtaining the Certified JSS Administrator (CJA) after a 2-3 hour practical exam! What a tense experience that was and I earned every fiber of that CJA Track Jacket.

Earning those—and subsequent—credentials set me on a path toward managing Macs in the enterprise at scale. Some of us HAVE been supporting Macs in enterprise environments for 30 years. Tools like Vintela Management Extensions (go ahead, Google it—it ran on the SMS 2003 infrastructure) and Apple Remote Desktop were what we had available at the time.

THEN CAME JAMF. And it fundamentally changed how we do our jobs—especially for those of us who were Mac admins more than 20 years ago—in a truly positive way.

So, HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY Jamf Training!! Thanks for the memories.
