Hi all,

Are profiles made with Profile Manager on 10.7 server supposed to work on 10.8 clients? I assumed so, but my VPN profile doesn't seem to. The keychain entry is not created properly, leaving out the account name and not using the correct password. Do I need to use Profile Manager on 10.8 to make this work? Or is there something else I can do?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jason

I asked apple this same question recently about their AD certificate profiles and was told that generally you will need to create profiles on 10.8 for 10.8 clients. I tested the 10.7 certificate profiles on a 10.8 machine and there were differences in the keychain items produced compared to the 10.8 profile.

tl;dr=Yeah, use 10.8 profile manager for 10.8 clients.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like I need to build a 10.8 server...
