A16 iPad Asset Tag Solution Needed

Since the A16 iPad doesn’t have serial numbers engraved anymore, I need a way to identify iPads in cases where the screen has died (water or physical damage). Are there any solutions like this that integrate with JamF School? If not, are there any recommendations?

​@JCarnahan we use Asset Tags that we custom print with the student’s name, the asset tag number, school district name, the main phone number, and a warning to student’s not to remove the case as it will void the warranty. We then add the asset tag number to Jamf. We’ve gotten several iPads returned to us with having the additional information on the label.
