We have a little under 200 Departments in Azure AD. I would like a bulk way of adding these to Jamf under Settings - Network - Departments.  Don't tell me I have to add them manually, It is unacceptable in this day and age that you have to add a field one by one. Is this something Jamf Support can import on the back end?  I can't believe there isn't an import button after using Jamf for 6 years now... I see an export button, gee thanks!

Jamf is great but this was just forgotten for some reason :-(

You can use the API to bulk add departments.

Most Entra / AD configurations as the OP suggests already have this information and they are attributes based on users and computers.

If Jamf had more capability to allow us to pull all or some of these attributes easily into jamf this would be a game changer.

Fingers crossed that more development work happens in this space. Being a Windows heavy environment this is our first journey into the world of Macs.

As we already have a mature CMDB process and years of attributes populated in AD a feature to bring these easily into Jamf Pro would be invaluable for us too.

For years now both departments and buildings need to exist in Jamf. They also need to be identical as to what's in your LDAP/AD attribute mappings.

I'm sure there's already a feature request to "sync" from an external source. If not, feel free to add one.

you can use Extension attributes to Map your Active Directory Department to JAMF, The Default Department option we have in JAMF is used when you manually create a Department in JAMF,  Check the Attribute value in AD for Department and create an EA.

I assume you are using LDAP? Directory Service attributes don't seem to be available for Entra.

No LDAP, Azure Entra ID only...

Hi Shyamsundar.  Is this for Azure Entra ID also? I mistakenly put AD rather than Entra ID in my post.

@Shyamsundar, this is awesome! I never knew about this just added it to my Jamf. Department is pulled from Entra and will be very useful.

I don't see this? And I use Entra as my Identity Provider?

You use API or the MUT app

Must is very fast and simple - MUT

Did you have Entra ID Linked with JAMF in the Cloud identity providers

yes, I use Azure Entra AD, I have linked the same with JAMF from the cloud identity providers in the Settings

@Shyamsundar  Yes it is linked. I also don't want an extension under the user & location fields where Department is already.  I think this exercise here just proves you have to add the departments manually one... at... a .. time... I am going to open a ticket with Jamf.  Thanks all for all of your suggestions.
