Hi, I just started my Jamf trial to see if it’s right for us to switch over from AirWatch. Currently, we have an app catalog on all the student iPads where they have access to reinstall (or in some cases install) apps that are assigned to the group that they are in. It doesn’t matter if the apps are automatically pushed out, or on demand.
Does Jamf have something similar? I read something about the Student app, but that was only for on demand apps.
In Jamf School, the only option that I know of is the Jamf Student app. And it does only show those apps you set as 'on demand' for the groups you create and assign to the app scope. But if you are only giving the app as 'on demand' for specific groups, then I think this option would suffice.
I believe you could push the apps as automatic install then shift the scope to 'on demand'. I'm almost certain that it doesn't remove the app that is already installed. Although I think it would be good to test it first.
