Hello,

we have a problem with google chrome. After getting 20 licenses and deploying to our ipads it is not showing up on the ipad screen. According to jamf school it is installed, but on the ipad it is not. The layout is configured correctly and the profile is up to date.

What can be the problem?

LOL, I found the mistake.... There was a part in the profile, which controles the media content. And the apps were set to 4+ instead of all apps.

All iPads or just some don't have Chrome installed? Did you grab enough licenses and deployed the scope to the desired group?

There is nothing visible on the hidden feature. If looking in "Apps" its also not showing up.

Under Restrictions->Media Content do you use an age filter for apps? Google Chrome is a 17+ app.

or

do you have a profile with a Blocklist?

Sorry for my delay. There is a filter for web contence for kids. But there is no restrictions for apps. On older ipad with IOS 16.7.10 chrome shows up in the app list, but not on the home screen layout. On IOS 18.2.1 it doesn't show uo anywhere. By the way it's not the only app missing.

Disable all profiles (except for Wifi) and enable the profiles one by one to find out wicht profile causes this behaviour (I hope you have 1 payload per profile). When you found out which is the problem profile, you can troubleshoot that profile (I assume that the app shows up when all profiles are disabled).

So it was: Under Restrictions->Media Content do you use an age filter for apps? Google Chrome is a 17+ app.

Exactly, I didn't see it at first time.
