Our clever students are now switching their bluetooth off so that Apple Classroom doesn't work on their iPads. Is there a way for me to force it to be always on? At least whilst they are on campus?

Or maybe get a notification if it's turned off?

Just strategizing first to see what you guys say for an easier option.

feature request with apple

Or

As I like to call it..."vigilant teaching"

Are you enrolled in the Apple Developer program?

Ahhhhh, I see.

Where is the payload for this? I can't see it.

This is now a feature in the Restrictions payload of config profiles for iOS 10.

Uncheck this one?

Allow modifying bluetooth settings (supervised only)

Thanks so much.

Only stops the modification of Bluetooth so if it is turned off when you apply this payload, the students can't turn it back on.

I've also read (not tested myself) that if you do manage to get all the students to have Bluetooth on when you apply this payload, they can enable airplane mode which will disable Bluetooth again.

Edit: Just tested it and when airplane mode is switched back off, bluetooth turns back on. It doesn't stay disabled.

Thank @RLR , yeah I learned the bluetooth payload issue the hard way. I just assumed the profile would switch it on. Half the school had bluetooth switched off when I deployed the profile - FAIL.

Any news related to this? Students keep turning off bluetooth...
