Hi,
I have a question about Apple IDs. I am moving my group to JAMF as we purchase new Macs. I have restricted the Apple ID pane in the PreStage config. When migrating end user data from their old Macs their Apple ID info is automatically coming over as well. Is there a way to avoid this on future installs and how would I remedy this situation on the machines that are currently affected? Thanks for the advice.

@Ecco My org's official "backup" solution is OneDrive, and the expectation is that only files in OneDrive are migrated, and we did have a homegrown process for relocating a user's Desktop and Documents folders into OneDrive (now retired since Mac KFM/folder backups have finally arrived) . That's seems to be sufficient for our Windows users, but is is somewhat lacking for our Mac users since it doesn't bring over anything from the user's Library folder (e.g. Safari bookmarks, login keychain). I'm hoping once all users are on macOS Ventura the Migration Assistant may become an option, but it'll be a while before I can test that.
+25@Ecco Are you letting user run Migration Assistant to move data over? If so, be aware that prior to macOS Ventura using the Migration Assistant would break MDM enrollment because it brought over MDM configuration info as well as user data from the old Mac. That's why we have blocked Migration Assistant in my org.
+25Yes, it was user initiated. Is the solution to wipe the computer and start fresh?
@Ecco yes, re-imaging would be my recommendation. I'd also suggest creating a Restricted Software configuration for the process named Migration Assistant scoped to all computers to prevent future occurrences.
