Hello Jamf People!

Anyone else having issue with their 4th gen Apple tvs not waking up once they go to sleep?

They will not wake up when we are trying to airplay to them and will not wake up with the remote.

All Apple TVs are DEP enrolled.

tvOS 10.2.1

@Chriskmpruitt did you try pairing the remote to the tv? Menu + Volume Up, while holdng it very close to the apple tv.

@Chriskmpruitt

but the apple tv itself is displaying on the tv?

It's not a source or hdmi cable issue is it?

no, the tv is not displaying anything. The tv says no input detected. I have changed out HDMI cords a few times, power cycled the tv. The only thing that wakes up the Apple tv is to unplug the power from the device and plug it back in.

We've set all our Apple TVs to never sleep to avoid this issue. Now we're having other issues with conference mode and airplay mirroring since they auto-updated to iOS 11 and have a ticket in for that.

I know this is an old thread but how do you set Apple TVs to never sleep in Jamf?
