To give you a real-life example using Azure and Jamf Connect, allows users to move smoothly to the desktop after authentication. It is more of an ease of the process. But the end-users need to have a synced password or have synced their passwords.  This eliminates extra prompts, and verification of password prompts. But I would test, and ensure you do not need the additional verification. It is really up to the experience you want to provide the end-user and organization.
