Hi,

I am unable to block Google Drive app using Restricted Software in Jamf Pro

I have tried "Google Drive", "Google Drive.app", "Google Drive*" for process name but none of these works.

Previously, adding "Backup and Sync" for process name was blocking the app.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions or workarounds.

Thanks!

restricted software is always a bit hit and miss.. a policy with 'jamf manage' can help...  'google drive' is the binary process.. but moving up a level.. how is it installed?

Yeah, I have tried recon and 'jamf manage'. Unfortunately, wasn't helpful.

dmg was downloaded directly from google and installation happened via package

you using kill and delete.. otherwise the lauchdeamon will respawn the process..  that won't remove the rest of it.. better to block the installer..

there is a launchd.. so.. unless you bin it.. it will come back.. try Goole Drive.app with delete.. this will only remove the app and not the launchd, clean up via a script.. but only admins can install.. so.. again. another level... how is it being allowed to be in installed...
