While this may be old news, I have a conversion utility app available in my GitHub.  I’ve gotten really good responses with great results from it.

I’m working on getting another version of it out to support profile conversions, a more user friendly “GUI” of the json that’s generated, and multiple selectable groups.

It operates solely on the platform API and leverages the jamf-cli binary to do the heavy lifting.

Give it a gander if you want.  Be sure to test test test!

News to me. I’m in the process of migrating profiles to Blueprints and this might restore a bit of sanity. Awesome work. Thank you for sharing it.

I’m very excited to look at this since both my knowledge about and number of blueprints hovers around ZERO!

@woaikonglong @_gsm I’ll be releasing a new version soon that does “profile takeover” instead of rip/replace for supported configuration profiles.  I’m also looking at building in a new GUI piece to where you aren’t inundated with json (which never bothered me, just was a request from someone that I know).

I’ll release this version as soon as the jamf-cli gets it’s pending PR approved for an update. 😁

Appreciate you sharing this and continuing to build on it!

I know it's going to be useful working toward more DDM configurations, especially with years of existing profiles to work through and changes to how I deploy certain profiles. I have a phased migration plan: convert, test, then switch things over. This will help me out with that. I don't mind the JSON, but your GUI updates should make it even easier.

I saw this when you posted it on LinkedIn and thought this was a fantastic idea.  Looking forward to trying it out.

Been having some issues running this when I attempt to create and deploy, though the creation works just fine. Not sure what’s up with that as API permissions are sufficient but I am more than okay with pressing the button in Jamf pro for a manual deployment lol. This is going to save us a ton of time!

Not sure what may have changed but today now suddenly it’s saying the API creds are incorrect today. A curl from my machine is successful though. Going to do some of my own troubleshooting but figured I would mention this.

The logs should show what’s up. Also under the connections tab it should also say if a permission is missing and which one.

I used it this AM without any issues.
