We can't allow it by Default. you can enable the standard users to allow the screen recording by deploying a PPPC Profile, and use a PPPC utility to create it.

I got you, I'm using Mosyle tool and the option available is available attached screenshare, however once we enable it from our end user need to click on button to enable it manually- I don't want user to do anything from his end and want to enable it from our end as an admin, is there any solution for it?

Apple do not allow us to give that permission, it has to come from the User. So the best you can do is set the Privacy Preferences to let a standard User to grant permission for screensharing. And they then will have to click to grant that permission.

Apple sets all rules for MDM on Apple devices, regardless if Jamf, Mosyle or any other MDM. Apple does not permit any MDM to fully enable services such as screen sharing since it is considered a personal privacy setting. MDMs can only allow the user to do it without being an admin.

We have two configuration profiles, classic and newer teams. Lately, users are being asked for admin credentials despite having these config profiles allowing Screen Recording > Let Standard Users Approve

Also remember that some apps will need to close and re-open to read updated PPPC rights - I believe Zoom is the exception.

Best practice is to include language in your Self Service policies to direct users to each collaboration tool’s test call site or docs and remind them to set those mic, camera & screen sharing prefs before joining their call(s), ie: https://zoom.us/test

Anyone else having issues with Screen Share permissions resetting? Our PPPC has been working flawlessy until a week or two ago, now our app permissions keep resetting. I’ve recreated the policy using the PPPC Utility and still the same result. For us, this is with Promethean Screen Share app. So far we have yet to find a solution, no matter we do the permission turns back off, even after entering admin credentials.
