Hi, we have a situation where we're seeing several devices that have recently checked in but aren't provided inventory updates which means some of our policies aren't kicking off.   Is there a way to force a recon in this situation?  Do we scope a recon specifically to these devices and when they check-in next time it should kick off the recon? Or is there a better method to handle this?

run a test policy on a subset with verbose recon.. see what comes back..  and checkin for policy != recon of course..

as jamf-42 advised check-in and inventory update are two different things. However, lets assume that you have a policy to run inventory update (assuming again for daily). If that one you talking about, create a test policy for inventory update, scope one computer that you know regularly checks in (or your own computer) and select trigger as recurring check-in. If you still have isssue I would advise you to check jamf binary.  You can renew management framework with API.
