Hi everyone, just exploring this and i just need to confirm a few things , if anyone knows that would be a massive help. I will get my hands on a device soon but i need to hit the ground running.

  1. So for vision OS 2 we do not need managed apple IDs anymore and it will work fine without for a prestage enrollment?
  2. Will i be able to hide bits and pieces from the set-up assistant? Lets say i don't want users to login to their personal apple IDs. The Prestage does not make any mentions of visionOS
  3. Can this be set-up as a shared device or is it not supported for VisionPro?
  4. Will enrollment customisation work ?
  5. Will i need any custom configuration profiles or will they just work from : Mobile Devices -> Configuration Profiles. I cant see what applies to visionOS only.
  6. Do i need Jamf Trust and Jamf Security cloud to keep these devices secure? I mean what is the best practice in terms of AV/EDR?

Those who have implemented it, what has your experience been?

Thanks

We have enrolled an AVP with JAMF, below are our observations

1.) Yes, With Vision OS 2 supporting Zero-touch enrollment, Devices can be added to ABM and can be synced to JAMF via DEP.

2. Vision Pro is considered a Mobile device it's similar to how you Manage your iOS devices. you don't need any specific config for Vision Pro in JAMF. you can hide the Setup-assistant

3. Vision Pro can't be configured as Shared Devices currently.

4.) Yes, it will work

5.) You don't have separate profiles for Vision Pro, as it's considered a Mobile device you can create a Configuration Profile same as how you created one for managing iOS

refer to the below link for Management capabilities for Vision Pro

6.) Yes you can use Jamf Trust and Security Cloud.

Please let me know if you need any other information

Will i need a managed apple id at all to complete the onboarding? Or is it irrelevant
