Does anyone have any experience in distributing Little Snitch registration info? We recently switched to a volume license and need to update every installation that we have to this new license.

Or, I should also ask how people deploy Little Snitch with the license already applied. That might help as well.

I don't know if this is documented in their support site but here is the solution using Composer. This works starting with version 4.0.3.




  1. Install Little Snitch with the installer app.

  2. Before rebooting, create a file named 'BundledLicenseKey.txt' at the path /Library/Little Snitch/.

  3. Line 1 of the file should contain your license key, line 2 the licensee name.
