Hello!

We are looking into deploying MacBook Neos for some of our students. We currently use Jamf School, but I'm also familiar with Jamf Pro, so I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has enrolled student MacBooks using either platform.

I'd love to hear how the setup and deployment process went, specifically whether you used Jamf Connect, Xcreds, or Platform SSO (PSSO) for macOS cloud identity authentication and password synchronization.

Any feedback or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated!

Hi we use JamfPro but most of ours are pre-enrolled through Apple School Manager so when we first turn them on they just get enrolled once on wifi/internet. We have an admin account that gets auto installed during enrollment and then a local account is made for the student via a Self Service policy we set up that installs their needed apps and printers based on what grade they are in.

We then have it prompt to reset the password upon first login.
