Is there a way to disable Apple Music on macOS.
Tried a restriction profile using the com.apple.applicationaccess - false for allowMusicService.
Also tried using Restricted Software, this takes too long and can take up to 1min to kick in. And it doesn't close the application or terminate the process.
Would it even be possible to delete the application as its in the /System?
Any ideas?

+26The best you are going to get without a proper application whitelisting tool, is using Jamf Pro's Application Black Listing (Software Restrictions). You should be able to configure the restriction to target music.app, and tell it to kill the process when seen. Once the Restriction is in place, and the jamf framework updates the app will close almost instantly when someone tries to open it.
App Restrictions use the Jamf Framework, and the Framework must update for any new restrictions to work.
It should look something like this.
+24You can't delete the Music.app as it's protected by SIP, so it would involve booting to Recovery, disabling SIP, rebooting into the OS, removing the application, then rebooting back to Recovery to enable SIP. Too much complication, not to mention that can't be automated in any way.
Restricted Software should allow you to restrict use of the application so it won't launch, or at least will get quit a moment after it's opened. If it's taking up to 1 minute to take effect, then either something is wrong with the setup, or as suggested above, the Jamf framework took some time to update on the device and that's what you witnessed.
