anyone know a way to disable the Chrome SharePoint plugin (that Office 2011 installs) through MCX or policy? It doesn't seem to load correctly so the user always sees "Could not load SharePoint Browser Plug-in". thanks!

You could upload the Chrome manifest and set the managed preference for "Disabled Plugins". Theres a workaround to get the chrome manifest uploaded, this may be fixed now but heres a link to that if it still won't upload.

It works correctly in the 64-bit version of Chrome. You can find it in the dev channel.

@colonelpanic good to know, we don't deploy Chrome at this point but will keep that in mind for when it is released.

@tron_jones thanks! that did it. Uploaded the manifest and located DisabledPlugins, added SharePoint Browser Plug-in and that did the trick.
