Hi,

I'm using jamf pro. I need to disable all safari because the only browser we manage in our company is Chrome.

iv tried to search in configuration profiles - restrictions - application - but there is no reference to safari except Safari autofill.

what do you guys recommend me to do?

thanks :)

This is probably not possible since it is linked to the OS. I suppose if you really wanted to stop it from being launched, you could create an entry under Restricted Software, but you should make sure you have Chrome set as the default browser.

+1 on @AVmcclint 's suggestion to use Restricted Software. You'll definitely want to set the Message field in your Restricted Software configuration for Safari to notify users they must use Chrome if for some reason the default browser setting is modified.

Were you able to get this to work?  A restriction profile doesn't work to Block Safari for me.

@todosw Did you use Safari.app as the "Process Name", and enable "Restrict exact process name"? That does work in my testing.
