Has anyone been able to successfully put 10.9.x on an Early 2015 Macbook?

You won't be able to. The farthest you can downrev a machine is the OS that shipped on it when its specific model was introduced. If a new major version came out afterwards, etc, you'd still be able to go back to that version.

But the hardware support is just not going to be there in Mavericks for the new machines.
