So today I decided to get one of these old intel machines, a 2015 Macbook Pro a whirl. It has been erased and removed from Jamf as well as ASM, but still has the prompt to enroll in remote management during setup. I erased it again, but to no avail. Anyone got a clue what could be happening?

If its prompting to enroll into Jamf, you did not release it in Apple School Manager. If something else wonky is going on, you will need to call Apple as the device enrollment program is entirely within their domain.

If you released it from ASM, maybe try connecting the MacBook to a different network. Ethernet? Hotspot? Different WiFi SSID?

The MacBook may still need to communicate with the Apple Server on its registration, enrollment status.

Tried the school network then my home network, doing resets and installation on both. Still shows the prompt.
