dockanchor)
name="DockAnchor"
type="zip"
downloadURL="$(downloadURLFromGit bwya77 DockAnchor)"
appNewVersion="$(versionFromGit bwya77 DockAnchor)"
expectedTeamID="4XW3W377NX"
;;

I am getting the following error :

Hi @mrgoal00,

I downloaded and inspected the zip file - the issue is the archive structure. The 1.5.zip contains:

1.5/
1.5/DockAnchor.app/
1.5/DockAnchor.app/Contents/
...

The DockAnchor.app is nested inside a 1.5/ subdirectory. Installomator expects the .app bundle to be at the root level of the archive, so it fails to find it (exit code 8).

Recommendation:

Open an issue on the DockAnchor GitHub repository asking the developer to adjust the release packaging so the zip contains DockAnchor.app directly at the root level, without the version subdirectory. This is the standard convention for macOS app distribution that works with tools like Installomator.

You could also try:

dockanchor)
name="DockAnchor"
type="zip"
downloadURL="$(downloadURLFromGit bwya77 DockAnchor)"
appNewVersion="$(versionFromGit bwya77 DockAnchor)"
expectedTeamID="4XW3W377NX"
appName="${appNewVersion#v}/DockAnchor.app"
;;

In my testing the app failed to install with Installomator because it is not signed/notarized correctly and Gatekeeper blocked it.
