How can I find all of the Macs with MDM problems?

After starting with my company in June, I went through our Jamf Pro server to look things over. I noticed several Macs that have either failed MDM commands such as profiles that attempted to install, or a long list of pending commands. They are still checking in with Jamf Pro. I need to create a list of these systems but I haven't figured out how to do that. I don't know what criteria to use to track them all down. Has anyone ever had to do this? If so, what was your solution?

There is not really a good way to do this that I am aware of aside of checking device by device. If its all MDM Commands having issues, you could try pushing a new configuration profile out and making a smart group to look for that configuration profile. If a device is missing the profile but checking in, you have a problem device.

That's great idea. I have often used profiles with no payload or some simple payload that doesn't make any noticeable change to the Mac to test if profiles are being received. I will do that and build a smart group for the profile. Thanks!
