I am wondering how Jamf collects IP addresses of computers when their network changes. If I had a Macbook go from one site to another, and they had different subnets, would it send that IP address info to Jamf right away and by default, or is there a setting that needs to be enabled for that?

+13Mine picks them up as they change, I guess they need to check in with the server, so there might be a short delay whilst that has to work.
Nothing that I am aware of configured for it to do it for me.
+3So I remembered I can easily test this by plugging ethernet in and see if it sees the IP change on Jamf. It didn't do it until I ran policy, so it's not doing it automatically like it did in my old workplace. In settings > Computer Management - Management Framework > Check-in > Allow Network State Change Triggers, it is not checked. I'm wondering if checking that would enable it to find the new IP address right away.
