How would I remove a user associated to a laptop? They just received a new laptop, and I'd like to remove them from the current laptop so It can be redeployed. Additionally, whenever I try to make changes to the laptop (like renaming it) I receive a prompt stating the user will be added to a group or other changes could be made to the user.

Agreed with the replies above. Wipe the Mac, allow it be set up for the new user. Also best practice is to delete the corresponding Mac record in Jamf Pro prior to it going through new enrollment. just to be sure there are no conflicting issues with an old device record.

Without knowing much about your environment, re-imaging would be my best bet. Generally, Macs are 1:1 due to things like MDM-capable users, Secure Tokens etc.

Stupid question maybe...Why not just wipe the device and set it up for the new user?  When it enrolls it will be assigned to the new user.
