Hi all,

Back in the El Capitan days, I could download a "Install OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 installESD.dmg" file, upload it to Casper, and end-users can select it within Self Service to upgrade their operating system on their Macbooks.

I am trying to find a "Install macOS Sierra 10.12.2 installESD.dmg", but I can't find it anywhere. I remember it used to be in https://developer.apple.com/download

Does anyone know where the Sierra dmg would be? Or know how I can create one?
The one I download from App Store would only be an app file. I don't know if this would work.

Download the latest from the Mac App store and just drag the installer into Casper Admin.

Aha!

Thanks. (I've been on vacation for 2 months, getting rusty)
Yes, just dragging the Install macOS Sierra.app to Casper Admin will convert it to InstallESD.dmg

Thanks a lot :)

I've had better luck with:

CreateOSXinstallPkg

What @RobertHammen said but I also:
1) Tick the box to specify this needs a reboot
2) Tie it in with a manual trigger reboot only policy. I have this so we can bypass the FV2 login screen once.
